Storyline
Did you know that Christmas celebrations (sort of) began long before Christ's birth and more resembled a carnival (with drunken, brawling villagers) than a semi-solemn religious observance?
This nicely filmed "history" of Christmas traces the origins of the holiday from the early "Yule" log burnings by pre-Christian Norse families to the adoption of Christmas trees in England during the 1940s and the emergence of the modern-day Santa Claus.
