Lineage : SDB & AUD sources matrixed & mixed in Adobe Audition 3.0. Comparatively easy to matrix the two sources (i've knowned more difficulties in others matrix opportunities). The 2 sources were normalized at the same level - some light adjustments for bass frequencies (Aud source) The ratio SBD/AUD is about 55/45. As tracks lengthes did not match exactly between SDB and AUD. Some songs, for their beginnings and the ends , have only one source (aud or sdb) in the matrix, for few seconds.
SDB source (provided by SirMick) : Mono Soundboard (provided by Tycobrahe Sound Company) > unknown tape deck > 1/4 track 7.5 ips Master Reels (Scotch 503 Dynarange) From the collection of Harvey Kaslow and Craig Todd Transfer: Master Reels > Technics RS-1500-US > Zoom H4n > wav 16/48 - Transferred by Craig Todd Lineage: wav 16/48 > Adobe Audition 1.5 > Wavelab 6 (with iZotope Ozone 5 Advanced) > iZotope RX 2 Advanced > CD Wave > TLH > Flac 16 (see original upload ...http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=400950)
AUD source (provided by Flyingm)) : unknown taper and equipment > Revox A-77 R2R @ 7 1/2 ips Tape transfer : Revox B-77 (playback) > Sony DTC-690 (DAT) Transfer to Hard Drive : Sony DTC-690 (16-48) > Audigy 4 Pro (via toslink) > Audacity (clean up) > AudioGate (16-44) > Cool Edit Pro (DC offset correction) > Flac (Level 8) Speed Correction : the speed of this tape was inconsistent (on the fast side) and "SirMick" corrected this by aligning it with the soundboard tape. This was done in Adobe Audition and returned as Flac files (thanks!) Final Audacity (clean up a few pops) > CD Wav > Flac (Level 8) > Stamp ID3 Tag Editor My tape came from a 1/4 track 10" reel @ 7 1/2 ips. I made a copy of that reel on my DAT recorder in the early 1990's. Transferred to hard drive in 2011. Cleaned up a few noises, tape pauses and removed some of the loudest claps one at a time. No equalization or noise reduction. This tape was playing way to fast and I was at a loss on what to do. This was thought to have been recorded by Harvey Kaslow and Pat Todd. SirMick received a fresh copy from them and that turned out to be a mono soundboard. Thanks to SirMick who then speed adjusted this recording to match that soundboard tape. The source and taper of this version is unknown and thanks go out to them for capturing this show For historical reference only and not intended for resale or any commercial use Enjoy Flying M Productions - (April 2012) (see original upload ...http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=447173)
